Celebrate the World Cup 2026 at Arcadian by M

The Arcadian by M brings the Museum of Bam and a Mr Egg selfie spot to International Day of Birmingham

Brummies heading to this year’s International Day of Birmingham will find The Arcadian by M behind one of the standout rooms in ‘The House That Brum Built’, the Council House takeover running on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September.

The Arcadian is sponsoring the Lady Mayoress’ Parlour, one of ten grand rooms across the Grade II-listed building being transformed for the two-day celebration of everything Birmingham. Inside, visitors will find the Museum of Bam and a selfie spot with city favourite Mr Egg, both stamped off on the free Brummie Passport as guests make their way room by room.

It’s a fitting home for the Arcadian, which sits at the heart of Birmingham’s Chinatown and Southside, just a short walk from the Hippodrome, Symphony Hall and Bullring. Over the past year the venue has reinvented itself as one of the city’s go-to spots for oriental-inspired food and drink, with 16 restaurants including its Asian street food hall and the newly opened Sly Old Fox pub.

James Langford, Regional Estate Manager at The Arcadian by M, said: “IDOB is one of the best excuses in the calendar to get into town and celebrate the city, and we wanted to be part of it. If you’re stopping by the Lady Mayoress’ Parlour for a Mr Egg selfie, The Arcadian is five minutes away and it’s the perfect spot to grab something to eat afterwards.”

International Day of Birmingham runs from Thursday 24th  to Friday 25th  September 2026 at the Council House, Victoria Square. Entry is free, with Brummie Passports available on the day. The full programme is being announced in the coming weeks at www.idob.co.uk and on Instagram @internationaldayofbirmingham.
