Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at The Arcadian by M This Weekend

Taking place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September, this free family event will transform the heart of Birmingham Chinatown into a vibrant celebration of Chinese culture, community and tradition.

A Weekend of Culture, Entertainment and Family Fun

Visitors can look forward to an exciting programme of performances, activities and cultural experiences throughout the weekend. While the full programme is still being finalised, we are delighted to confirm the lion and dragon dance schedule for both days:

12.45pm – Lion Workshop & Photo Opportunity

1.30pm – Dragon Dance

2.30pm – Lion Workshop & Photo Opportunity

3.30pm – Lion Dance Finale

Take a Photo Under Birmingham’s Giant Moon

One of the festival’s highlights this year is our stunning 4-metre moon installation, now proudly in place at The Arcadian.

Perfect for family photos, the giant moon provides a striking centrepiece for the celebrations and a unique way to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival. Visitors are invited to come along throughout the weekend and capture a memorable picture beneath Birmingham’s very own full moon.

The installation will be beautifully illuminated during the event, creating the perfect backdrop as visitors explore everything the festival has to offer.
